Umbra Et Anima is a fast-paced isometric hack-and-slash action game with an emphasis on careful resource management and balancing risks. You are on a quest to cure yourself of an ancient curse that is slowly turning you into a demon. You must overcome hordes of beasts, cultists, and the undead to consume their life essence to stave off the curse. However, the curse bestows you with incredible infernal power. Should the overwhelming hordes become too much to bear, you can unleash this power in the form of devastating attacks and abilities. The cost of these abilities is great, and if they’re used irresponsibly, however, as each cast consumes the player’s essence, it decreases your defenses against the curse.

About Us:
We are a Collection of Students from Champlain College, who came together in a class focused on Game Development. We worked on this project from January 2024 to May 2024 with guidance from Champlain Professor and Alumni Robert Wakefield. The main goal of this project was to develop a game with 10-15 minutes of gameplay that was fun and exciting for players. We hope that you enjoy the game. Thank you.
